In June 2006, Ka Ima took part in “Boucles d’Ebene”, Paris. Sales, fame, clientele are growing,Ka Ima B.Joux is a new range of Afrikan inspired, handcrafted sterling silver jewellery designs, that cater to men and women who identify themselves to it. Ka means spirit and Ima means love, charity. “Bijoux” means Jewellery in French. As the name suggests, it is about love, for the people materialised in this beautiful unique jewellery. Ka Ima B.Joux is about restoring positivity and love for oneself through wearing these adornments. Ka Ima B.Joux reflects the wearer’s awareness of his/her personality as well as history
It is not only about making adornments, Ka Ima get her inspiration from the Most High, the Universe. She is also inspired by the “Afrikan-Caribbean” culture, landscapes, shapes she encounters which give life to her jewellery.
One of Ka Ima’s goals is to show our community that if we develop our own personal talents and work hard, we can make it! We limit ourselves most of the time. We can achieve so much, beyond what we can imagine. Ka Ima always strived to be different, anti-conformist, or simply to be herself, showing determination!
